About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture an intimate and mystical moment, where body and mind merge in profound introspection. The vibrant colors and primitive forms evoke a raw, almost shamanic energy, inviting a symbolic reconnection with oneself.
There are several versions of the myth of Cassandra. I chose the one in which Cassandra refused to submit to a god. In revenge, the god granted her a terrible gift: the ability to speak the truth but not be… believed. The shower Cassandra administered to herself was her own reconstruction, her personal refusal to submit to fate, choosing instead to be free by keeping her secrets... and releasing a personal and intimate energy far from the limelight.
There are several versions of Cassandra in my work depending on the progress of the work and its exhibition...
