About this artwork
On My Way" is a painting that embodies the simplicity of its color scheme while conveying a profound inner message. It took more than nineteen years to complete. This artwork serves as an internal log, with each brushstroke representing a colorful entry in the artist's diary. It reflects his encounters and achievements while also mirroring the experiences of every immigrant who has arrived on foreign shores.
The bottom half of the painting is bathed… in emerald green, while the top resembles a rosy sunset, displaying shades of orange and red with streaks of yellow. This bright haze rises like an abstract column of hope, pushing apart the mauve, purple, and blue shades of the sky and echoing the lighter green below. The deep green at the bottom collaborates with the gauzy purple haze at the top. The central section, tinged with red, provides lightness to the lower half and remains the focal point of the world we observe.
