About this artwork
"Poppy" is a field of reflection in many years of experience that explores our inner souls in the art form. It took many years to complete. Most of my work usually takes about 15-20 years and this painting was not that exception. I try to emulate my everyday activity to understanding life and my surroundings, then turn that into an art form using colour and brush on canvas. This painting is the result of that process

Abu Jafar (Visual Artist / Sculptor) is an acclaimed leading British International artist and Philosopher of the arts. He lives and works in the United Kingdom.
Born on March 21, 1968, in a small village called Jhilna, Patuakhali, Bangladesh.
He studied Philosophy of Arts, at the Open University 1997 UK. Art and Art History, Goldsmith’s College, the University of London, UK in 1991/92. Master Drawing of the human figure - Guildhall University, London in1989/90 UK and Fine arts, painting and drawing at the Institute of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh 1984/89.
In 2021 became a member of the Visual Artist Association, in 2011 became a Fellow of Digswell Arts Trust, UK, in 2008 became a member of the Sculpture Network and in 2007 an associate member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors. His artworks have been collected around the globe.
