THERE IS A BIRD
There is a bird
Singing in my head
The songs of the childhood
Long forgotten
The lullabies of my mother
In the sweet dreaming
In the cradle of her belly
There is a bird
Singing in my head
The songs of freedom
While living in the cage
Consumed by darkened rage
His wings too dry to fly
But in the dreams he flies too high
There… is a bird
Singing in my head
The songs of true love
For this world, which is unforgiving
Full of wonderful, useless things
He doesn’t need, just endless longing
To come back to the nest
There is a bird
Singing in my head
The songs of stunning diamonds
Blooming in the ancient trees
Visited only by tireless dead bees
I listen to the songs, nested in my skull
but I forget that I am deaf
