About this artwork
“Venetian Mystery – Carnival Splendor at Sunset” was inspired by my first trip to Venice during the Carnival in 2014, a magical experience I shared with my husband. The vibrant masks, golden sunset, and festive atmosphere sparked my imagination and led me to create this acrylic on canvas painting.
This was my first Venice painting, and since then, my love for the city has only grown stronger — Venice and my paintings have kept us together all these… years. Using expressive brushwork and symbolic details, I aimed to capture the tension between public celebration and private reflection — the masks we wear and the emotions we carry behind them.
Ready to hang, this work combines vivid color, texture, and dreamlike narrative, inviting viewers to feel the mystery, elegance, and fleeting beauty of a Venetian evening.
