About this artwork
In "Among Fields Of Joy", the red is bold and full, pushing forward like heat rising from earth. The darker browns hold it in place, while small white and black marks move like brief signals. The energy feels intense but not violent, more like the force of sap moving through bark.
I began in a calm, optimistic mood, though the warm spring slowed the drying of the acrylic. I layered translucent coats and masked sections so some pigment would sink… deeper than others. This created shifting depths and forms that seem to emerge and return within the surface.
Original canvas painting hand-signed on the back and includes a Certificate of Authenticity (COA).
