About this artwork
Icarus is a painting that initiated the series of the same name. The inspiration was the myth of Icarus and the impulse was the war in Ukraine. I had the thought that modern Icarus no longer tries to fly with his own wings, but uses a drone for this purpose. The painting was created during the fighting for Avdiivka.
The painting took part in the exhibition at the Nysa Cultural Center in Nysa in 2023.
