About this artwork
"Storm Clouds" is one of a series of monotype prints that I created in 2019. The background of the image is a watercolour chine colle on acid-free tissue paper, which was overprinted twice using a printing plate with painted and rolled acrylic paints. The result is a unique image, as the plate is unmarked.

He uniquely fuses delicate watercolour chine collé backgrounds with layers of prints, embracing the unpredictability of variable editions and using papers like acid-free tissue and Chinese rice paper for texture. His evocative landscapes capture the ever-changing spirit of Ireland’s wild places, transporting the viewer into moments of awe and wonder.
