About this artwork
Born in 1935, this painter trained in “Arts Déco. became known internationally (after more than 100 “personal” exhibitions), through figurative painting whose success has never wavered, in Europe as well as in the United States and Asia. Listed I-CAC, it appears in the BENEZIT and DELARGE dictionaries. Parallel to this work, and out of concern and need for eclecticism, he has, for more than 50 years, worked on a form of painting resulting from "Lyrical… Abstraction"... He brings to the "composition" of his paintings as in the choice of colors, particular care, while sweeping the canvas with a gesture that sometimes seems to set his images in motion.
Alain Brunet is an experimented French artist whose paintings have been widely exhibited nationally, as well as in Belgium, Switzerland, the United States, Japan, Luxembourg, and China. In Brunet's figurative, abstract, and still-life pieces, he attaches "primordial importance" to the balance of forms and the subtlety of colors. His distinctive compositions are created using acrylics on canvas.
