About this artwork
Acrylic on scarified cardboard glued to a 2024 canvas stretcher. Part of photography stuck on cardboard. AGR offers a unique interpretation of a photograph (author unknown) taken in 1967 in Germany during a break on the filming of the film "La motcyclette" by Jack Cardiff released in 1968. Natalie and Alain David seem happy, hair blowing in the wind on this Harley Davidson “Road King”.

Alain Granger, also known as AGR*, is a France-based artist whose paintings have been exhibited both nationally and in Luxembourg. He strives to transfigure the “objective reality of the moment” by cultivating a taste for beautiful things and beings. AGR* draws inspiration for his compositions from found media images, photographs, and “objects of reality.” He creates using acrylic, resin, and collage on canvas, wood, or cardboard.
