About this artwork
The work is inspired by the ideal of a free, nomadic, and untethered life. For me, the most authentic representatives of this lifestyle have always been the members of the circus and the Roma people: communities who carry with them not only their belongings but also their families, their stories, and their identity. They live in motion, building their memories as they travel through roads, cities, and countries.
This spirit is embodied in the piece… through a road sculpted in relief, which upon ascending transforms into a staircase: a visual metaphor for life's journey, where each step and stretch elevates us toward new experiences, learning, and freedom.
