About this artwork

A portrait series consisting of nine works based on the incredibly extensive work of the American photographer Earth (Earthsworld). He has been portraying people at festivals, fairs and similar events for over 20 years and presents these images in a kind of web archive without manipulating or optimizing them. I have been following Earth on Instagram for some time and am always amazed at the uniqueness of each individual shot. With Earth's permission,… I was able to use this selection of nine protagonists as a reference for 40 x 30 cm oil paintings on wood panels. Many thanks to Earth for this great work and for being willing to make his images available as a reference.
