About this artwork
These prints are reproductions of my oil painting series ‘Earthsworld portraits’ as fine art prints on Hahnemühle paper, mounted on aluminum dipond. The original paintings are 40 x 30 cm, the prints are slightly smaller at 31 x 23 cm and come in a handmade wooden frame with gallery glass. It was important to me that the prints retain the straightforward and unpretentious handcrafted character of the oil paintings. I therefore decided to have the… prints float in a very simple frame made of spruce wood. The wood is lightly sanded and varnished with a chalk primer.
Alexander Grimm, a graphically seasoned artist, harnesses oil on self-crafted wooden canvases, drawing from his graphic design expertise. His techniques blend classical oil mastery with innovative 3D modeling, creating a bridge between digital precision and painterly expression. His works pulse with a poignant social commentary on climate change and consumerism, eliciting a deep reflection on our interaction with the environment.
