Threshold State registers the moment at which the distinction between figure and structure begins to collapse. The work explores presence in a phase of densification, where the subject no longer manifests will as action, yet still retains an inner residue of form. Through a restrained dark palette and the slow visual dissolution of the figure, the painting proposes threshold as duration rather than event.
