Prussian blue, monochromatic Marine painting focuses on movement. Alexia takes her inspiration from organic forms, nature’s colors & textures & the dynamism of water bodies to create an elegant, modern artwork.
Using only deep blue ink, the artist lets the concentration of pigment create different shades, using pressure & speed in her vigorous strokes to create the variations. The beautiful cream color of the paper (100% cotton) adds light & texture… to the composition.
The result is a peaceful abstract seascape.
The artist likes to look at it & follow the wave-like gestures, as a relaxing meditation, it makes her think about freedom.
The artwork is framed, mounted on a very dark blue paper mat to enhance its beauty.

Alexia López Sosa is a prize-winning Mexican artist whose works have been widely exhibited nationally, as well as in France and Argentina. Three images are constants in the painter, printmaker, and sculptor's compositions, and include the mountain, the chair, and the wild herb. Sosa explores dreams and nature, and transformation through time. When she works,
she tears her heart onto the canvas, draining her memories, dreams, and landscapes. She describes her art as a coded transcription of who she is.
