“Farewell” continues the exploration of inner mythologies within the Long Dark Night series. Here, two figures lie side by side under a vast starry sky, suspended in a quiet, dreamlike space. The absence of physical connection reflects a deeper emotional passage — a symbolic farewell not only between people, but between versions of the self. The serene landscape becomes a metaphor for the moment of letting go: soft, distant, inevitable.

Aliya Davletova is a multidisciplinary artist, trained at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, working primarily in painting and sculpture but also spanning digital, textile, and performance art. She employs analog materials and hand-made techniques, weaving fabric, paint, and sculptural elements into soft yet intense objects that foreground texture, body, and form. Her evocative visual language explores internal narratives and symbolic transformation, revealing invisible experiences. Davletova’s work radiates emotional depth—inviting viewers to reflect on grief, longing, tenderness, and the rich ambiguities of selfhood.
She has exhibited at Belvedere 21, Parallel Vienna, Best Austrian Animation Festival, Vienna Design Week, etc. and her work has been featured in independent and experimental art spaces across Europe.
