For this third diptych in the Gesture series, I continue this inspiration drawn from the metaphor of our deepest, most buried interiors, but here with a more geological aspect.
To think of our inner world, our noosphere, as an accumulation of geological strata, a sedimentation of our thoughts, of our soul's impulses, all these precious alluvial deposits that define us…
I recently immersed myself again… in a part of Paul Cézanne's painting, in particular those fascinating paintings giving a prominent place to geological strata and rock.

Altone Mishino is a French painter with international exposure. Mishino studied calligraphy at the Beaux-Arts in Paris an apprenticed in the studio of the painter Olivier Debré. His acrylic on canvas paintings are created in an abstract style using a monochromatic color scheme. Mishino's paintings are minimalist and expressive compositions.
