About this artwork
Aqua Spirit unfolds in multiple, carefully built layers, each one adding depth, movement, and a sense of quiet power. The luminous blues—echoing the waters of Lake Constance—create an expansive, almost cosmic atmosphere, where abstract forms drift like distant galaxies.
In the foreground, a metallic fountain surrounded by flowing water and natural stones introduces a grounding, tactile element. Its shimmering surfaces and organic textures infuse… the composition with life, motion, and a gentle, rhythmic energy. This fountain exists in reality in Immenstaad, and its presence anchors the painting in a specific place while allowing the imagination to travel far beyond it.
The work was created live over several days during a gallery exhibition, using a rich variety of materials.
Each session added new nuances of color, structure, and emotions. Several people was watching and admiring the process.
