About this artwork
The inspiration behind this piece comes from two deep passions of mine: my love for Rome and my admiration for lions. I’ve traveled to Rome many times, and each visit leaves me in awe of its timeless beauty, strength, and the sense of origin it carries. That feeling—of something ancient yet enduring—has always stayed with me.
Lions, for me, are powerful symbols. They represent inner strength, clarity, and calm authority. In this painting, I didn’t… just want to capture a lion—I wanted to capture a state of being. The lion stands not just on earth, but on everything it has built and protected: its history, values, relationships. The Roman architecture in the background connects this idea to legacy—how greatness is rooted in what lasts.
But the lion also looks forward. Its gaze is steady, peaceful, and focused—like someone with a clear vision of where they’re going. That’s what this piece is about. A balance between honoring your foundation and moving toward your future.
« I create the world I want to live in and every painting is meant to be for someone, connecting with that person on a deep level. »
