About this artwork
With oil paint in hand, I captured the essence of a small sailboat sailing on a calm sea at sunset. I blended figurative and geometric forms to convey both the clear shape of the boat and the vibrant energy of the sky and water. I wanted this painting to evoke calm and freedom, inviting the viewer to dream of the vastness of the ocean and the peace it offers.
