About this artwork
This is one of those paintings I created with a huge smile on my face! This girl on her board is pure energy - she caught the perfect wave and now she's dancing with the ocean like nobody's watching. I love those moments when the brush just guides my hand, and something absolutely bursting with life appears on the canvas.
The blues and whites of the waves are my interpretation of how the sea feels - sometimes calm, sometimes wild, but always magnetic.… And her? She's simply living the moment. No fear, no hesitation. Sometimes I think this is exactly what we all dream about - that moment of absolute freedom.
While painting her, I felt like I was on that board myself. And I hope you will too!
