About this artwork
I painted this picture during my time in Ibiza. The island is famous for its parties, which don't start until 1am and last until the early hours of the morning. Every summer night in Ibiza is a festival!
Everyone wants to show themselves, everyone wants to be admired. I wanted to capture this scene that is typical of the island of Ibiza.
The picture shows a scene in one of the famous parties. The dominant colors are yellow, green, red, the background… is black.
The oil paint is applied to canvas. The canvas is stretched on stretcher bars and the edges are painted, so you can hang the picture as is.
The picture can be hung without a frame as the edges of the picture are painted.

Anando Arnold is an experienced German artist who has exhibited his work in Germany, Spain and India since the 1990s. Firmly believing that less is more, he composes paintings centred on the restriction to seemingly simple forms and rhythms, producing expressive images that invite you to look, without feeling obtrusive.
