This work, original and unique, was painted on canvas with artists' oil paints. The canvas is stretched over a sturdy stretcher frame, the edges are painted black.
This abstract small format - oil on canvas - reflects the interesting contrast of winter: comfort inside, cold outside.
Warm earth tones, reddish-brown, meet cool blue and white on a - only seemingly - simple composition. Color fields intersect, new variations are created through overlapping,… the impression of movement, but also the retreat into the inner peace. A rhythm that both moves and invites you to pause
The oil paint was applied impasto, vigorously scraped off in places, it was like a voyage of discovery through the different layers of paint, an immersion in the process of creating this picture.
