Autumn is here, the last rays of sunshine are still warming, but the leaves are already brown, wafts of fog, a cool wind is blowing.
This abstract small format - oil on canvas - reflects an interesting contrast: comfort inside, cold outside.
In a - only at first glance - simple image composition, warm earth tones, reddish brown, accents of sunny yellow meet cool blue and white. Color fields intersect, new variations are created through overlapping,… the impression of movement, but also the retreat into the inner peace.
The oil paint was applied impasto, vigorously scraped off in places, it was like a voyage of discovery through the different layers of paint, immersion in the process of creating this picture. Very fine details demand attention.
This work, original and unique, was painted on canvas with fine artist oil paints. The canvas is stretched on a sturdy stretcher frame, the edges are painted.
