About this artwork

Evening chores. Blue, winter evening in the Ukrainian Carpathians. Cold, with 50 shades of blue. The blue of which is very difficult to photograph so that all its shades and nuances are visible. Winter chill on a hot summer day. The overall range of blue shades favorably emphasizes the play of colors of linen that dries in the wind. Colored linen on a rope, like notes on a stave, creates rhythm and melody. The statics and dynamics of this composition… emphasize the idea of the painting. When a static winter meets a dynamic spring, somewhere in late February, early March.
