About this artwork
It is a work, dedicated to lights, where they create colors intermixed with the vegetation. perhaps the magic of the place and the intimacy create a magical atmosphere.
The bluish and greenish colors let the exterior shine with small touches of light, like windows of the Nasrid palaces of the ALHAMBRA.
The virtuosity of color, created with textures and collage of glued papers, to create new dimensions, creates almost an abstraction. Gerhard Richter's… dragging techniques are incorporated into the work of the piece, as well as the throwing of paint, in the Pollok style.
It is worked on plexiglass prepared for the work, with roughness and layers of gesso plus acrylic paints, adherent, malleable and resistant. After drying, they are protected with an acrylic varnish that is resistant to light and humidity.
The painting, depending on the lights and location, creates a three-dimensional effect.
« An obsession of always being in contact with colors, conveying my feelings about Nature, but in the privacy of my studio. »
