About this artwork
Seeing the world from my particular point of view: a gay men living on the Mediterranean island of Sardinia, is the starting point to understand, criticize, empathize with issues that involve the whole humanity all over the world.
The two shepherds kiss each other despite the fact that the common places want them to symbolize the patriarch male heroes, since Sardinian bronze age.
Andrea Zucca is a painter with a background in comic drawing and academic oil painting, enriched by plein air studies and active participation in Cagliari’s collective “I Limoni.” He masterfully uses oil paint in a figurative style infused with surreal elements, often challenging taboos and sacred dogmas through his compositions. His works evoke a dynamic interplay between curiosity, cultural mythology, and visual pleasure, inviting viewers to question established norms and feel the thrill of creative exploration.
