About this artwork
Work inspired by the coasts of the world.
On my travels, I'm always fascinated by the view of the seemingly endless sea. Whether it's the Baltic Sea, the Atlantic, or the Pacific Ocean: each view holds its own unique fascination, which interacts directly with the light, weather, and climate.
In my painting, I am not trying to visually recreate this impression, but rather to depict the atmosphere as he perceived it.
Painting and spatula technique… in several layers, inspired by the Baltic Sea coast near Graal Müritz.
In this work, I used vibrant layers of acrylic to capture the dynamics of a sunset on the Baltic Sea in Torfbrücke near Graal Müritz. The intense red and blue tones symbolize the interplay of warmth and coolness, passion and tranquility. It is intended to convey a sense of deep contemplation and the magic of the moment—an energy that brings any space to life and inspiration.
« Art that fascinates me is often like a symbiosis of philosophical magic and good craft. »
