About this artwork
I had already published a portrait of Orson Welles a few days prior, and therefore I had naturally already written extensively about this great man.
The director and actor reported on it. Therefore, I can refrain from discussing him again, or the truly unique aspects of his work, at this point. Regarding the adaptation of Orson Welles's story, however, there were two interpretations that were particularly important to me. Usually, I choose one of… them, and that's that. But the one interpretation that formed the basis here was simply too good to forget in the end.

« Even in my early youth, I wanted to be a great artist. I don't know why. »
Andreas Noßmann is a draftsman based in Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally and in the Netherlands. Having always been fascinated by topics that touch or disturb, his artistic practice is also marked by his requirement for "a perfect graphic implementation". Noßmann's distinctive and diverse landscapes, portraits, and still-lifes are created with pastels, graphite, pencils, India ink, chalk, and charcoal on paper, canvas, or cardboard.
