About this artwork
In this work of art I combine minimalist purity with abstract expression. The soft texture of the acrylic paints creates a velvety depth that spreads throughout the room. The play of darkness and light symbolizes the balance between thoughtfulness and hope. With every brush stroke I wanted to convey a feeling of calm and contemplation. It invites the viewer to immerse themselves in the silence of the color contrasts and to find their own center.
« Only when I know who I was, can I recognize who I am and maybe who I should be, if I wanted to. »
Longing for a beautiful world made Andreas Stiller become an artist. The German painter and sculptor has exhibited nationally, as well as in Austria and the Netherlands. Stiller’s themes and mediums vary within his abstract or photorealistic works. His recent ‘Slide’ series delves into realistic representations of his family’s slide collection. He paints using acrylics, and sculptures are made of wood, marble, or stone.
