About this artwork
Blacktip Reef Shark is an oil on canvas painting capturing the graceful motion of a blacktip reef shark gliding through the shallow waters, inspired by my own encounter off an island in the Maldives.
In this piece, I’ve used loose, expressive brushstrokes to convey the fluidity and movement of the water, with the shark’s form subtly distorted beneath the surface. The result is a dynamic representation of the natural rhythm and energy of the underwater… world.
« Consumed in the moment of creation. With a thousand ideas and never enough time to satisfy my hunger to create. »
