About this artwork
The painting "Fairy-tale Morning," created in 2024 on the Tara River in Montenegro, captures the ethereal beauty of dawn breaking over the landscape. The first rays of sunlight illuminate the beech trees, making them shimmer against the shadowed river, which still lies under the towering cliffs. The contrast between light and shadow creates a sense of depth and tranquility. In the foreground, sunlit stones add texture and warmth, anchoring the composition… in the natural world. The play of light on the trees and rocks evokes a sense of magic and wonder. The river, partially concealed in the shade, hints at the gradual awakening of the day. This painting celebrates the delicate balance of light, nature, and the quiet majesty of the Tara River at sunrise.
« There is a logic of color, and it is it alone, and not the logic of reason, that the artist should follow. »
