Description
“In the Shade” is an original oil painting inspired by the sunlit atmosphere… of Antibes on the French Riviera. The composition captures a peaceful square sheltered by a large tree, whose cool shadow contrasts beautifully with the bright Mediterranean light.
Loose impressionist brushstrokes and vibrant color transitions convey warmth, air, and the relaxed rhythm of southern France. The interplay of light and shadow creates depth and movement, inviting the viewer into a quiet summer moment.
This refined Riviera cityscape is ideal for collectors of European landscape painting, Impressionist art
« There is a logic of color, and it is it alone, and not the logic of reason, that the artist should follow. »

For over 12 years, I studied painting at two of Ukraine's leading art institutions. During my education, I was deeply inspired by the painting techniques of European masters such as Paul Cézanne, Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Édouard Manet, and Paul Gauguin. Impressionist art holds a special place in my heart and serves as a constant source of inspiration.
