About this artwork
While creating “Desert Sun”, I wanted to explore the emotional power of orange—a color I used only rarely in my earlier works. This time I chose it boldly and simply waited for the canvas to respond. To my surprise, the eye adapts to orange very quickly, and the feeling it leaves behind is deeply uplifting: it radiates warmth, light and quiet optimism.
The painting is built around a glowing orange field that meets a textured, expressive base of… cool blues, whites and deep earthy tones. This contrast creates movement and depth—like heat above the ground, or light breaking through a dense atmosphere. I noticed something very specific when the work is hung on the wall: even in the darkest corner of a room, it seems to pull in light and energy, making the space feel more alive.
