About this artwork
I painted with acrylics on a wooden surface to capture the gentle spring awakening of nature. The impressionistic brushstrokes and semi-abstract forms blend to evoke a serene spring morning, filled with promise and tranquility.
I wanted this piece to bring a calming, refreshing energy to your space, like a peaceful escape into the soft embrace of nature’s rebirth. It invites you to breathe deeply and feel renewal.
“My paintings each contain a sliver of my soul, my dreams, my being - good or bad…”
Anette Thorup Hansen, a self-taught painter since youth, creates and experiments with devoted practice and a deep connection to nature. She blends impressionism, figurative abstractions, and naturalism, using atmospheric choices and expressive color to portray her many moods. Her landscapes, both utopian and fantastical, invite viewers to dream themselves into mostly untouched realms, conveying calmness, inspiration, and a profound emotional resonance.
Anette exhibits regularly in all regions of Denmark, and has her own ATH Gallery, next to her atelier, where visitors are welcome to peruse her various works in oil, acrylics, ink, and watercolor.
