Angus Hampel, an award-winning painter and printmaker from the UK, has been creating art for over two decades. He describes his works as objects of meditation and contemplation, bound with a sense of wonderment at the beauty of life and existence. Hampel paints with oil on panel, adding gold leaf to many of his pieces. Some of his compositions are comprised of thousands of small wooden squares, which can take months to complete. His prints are made using aquatint and etching.
