About this artwork
This painting is a homage to the famous American painter Andrew Wyatt. Anja Spagl place his 'Christina' in a new, surreal context. Instead of looking towards the house, she is now observing the arrival of a UFO.

Anja Spagl is an artist based in France who has exhibited her works nationally, as well as in Germany. Being a proud vegetarian and animal lover, she often portrays animals and explores the human-animal relation in her compositions. Occasionally, Spagl's pieces also contain subtle critiques towards today's society. She paints using acrylics and oils on canvas. Originally a way of escaping reality, art is now her full-time occupation.
