About this artwork
“Two in a Boat” is a plein air landscape painted at the mouth of the Pirita River in Estonia. Calm water framed by dense greenery and a couple drifting in a small boat create a sense of intimacy and gentle romance. I wanted to capture that moment when the world falls quiet and only nature and a loved one remain.
The painting is executed in acrylic on primed cotton canvas, stretched on a wooden frame. Soft colour transitions and textured brushstrokes… emphasise the depth of the water and the lightness of a summer day. A classic frame completes the piece and makes it ready to hang. This work brings a feeling of stillness, light and tranquillity into the interior, recalling brief yet precious moments shared together.

Anna Parhimovits is an artist from Estonia who works with oil and pastel techniques. Born in Kazakhstan, she grew up and now resides in Estonia. Her work harmoniously intertwines Russian and Estonian cultures, reflecting her life journey and multifaceted perspective on the world.
Inspired by nature, architecture, and emotions, Anna creates landscapes, still lifes, and abstractions where classical style meets contemporary forms.
Her artistic journey began in 2000, and since then, Anna's works have resonated both at home and abroad. She is a laureate of the international competition HABITUS BALTIJA (2004) and a participant in the collective exhibition ART WOMAN '97. In 2018, her solo exhibition, titled "Let’s Get Acquainted," was held at the Russian Theatre Gallery in Estonia, showcasing pastel landscapes and still lifes.
