Pure elegance !
I painted this pair of swans in the town of Pomorie, on the Black Sea coast. These swans are constantly migrating from one seaside town to another. The painting features just two of them, which had swum quite close to the shore. I decided to capture that very moment. Swans are incredibly beautiful and graceful birds—qualities I strove to convey in my painting. They invariably draw everyone's gaze; people stop in their tracks, simply… freezing in place with looks of sheer delight. On that particular evening, these two were swimming together as a pair. Typically, however, a group of eight to ten swans will swim close to the shore. I would also like to add that all the subjects in my paintings are real—not figments of my imagination or AI-generated images. It is deeply important to me to paint living creatures—whether animals or birds makes no difference—for the essential thing is that I am capturing what I have witnessed with my own eyes.
