About this artwork
NOTE: This artwork (image size 52x35cm) is surrounded by a larger cardboard frame and taped on the back! (see extra photo). If the cardboard is not desired, the tape must be removed by me before shipping, or subsequently by the buyer (at their own risk). Some residue may remain on the back of the painting. - Description: This very special work is one of the first I created in my youth. It is a very personal piece from my own collection. Using watercolors… and oil pastels, I have captured a nighttime alleyway that hovers between reality and abstraction. It radiates a captivating mood and conveys a mysterious nocturnal atmosphere with the bright shimmer of the moonlight and the quiet energy of the buildings. It brings a calm, almost meditative mood to any room and invites dreaming and reflection. Some spontaneous sketch elements of mine can be found on the back.
