This photo was taken in 2020 during the journey from Agrigento to Trapani, through Corleone. The Sicilian town of Corleone became famous thanks to the book "The Godfather" by Mario Puzo, but above all for the film saga of the same name by Francis Ford Coppola, in which the American mafia boss Michael Corleone hides for a certain period. In fact, one of the most wanted criminals and head of the mafia, Bernardo Provenzano, hid in this small and charming… town in the heart of Sicily for over 40 years and was captured and arrested right there in 2006. Provenzano was the undisputed leader of the Sicilian Cosa Nostra since 1995 and governed this mafia organization from underground until his arrest. So, the plot of Mario Puzo's “The Godfather” wasn't far-fetched at all.
The photo is printed on glossy photographic paper, measures 30x40cm and is framed with a 40x50cm black wooden frame.
