About this artwork
With this work I wanted to make a clear statement: That's it!
For this, I needed the necessary calm, a concrete idea of how it should turn out, and I had to wait for the right moment. Then: paint on the canvas.
Powerful complementary colors shape the image and invite the viewer to engage with this development.
Each of the two colors exists in its own full presence, full intensity, and with its respective structural characteristics. And then, in… the encounter, this wonderful union of completely different colors/positions.
That's what I wish would happen more often.
For this, I needed the necessary calm, a concrete idea of how it should turn out, and I had to wait for the right moment. Then: paint on the canvas.
