The Devil's Prayer Book
With enthusiastically warm colors,
like that of a child,
the devil's prayer book tempts us.
It invites us to browse through it,
to forget that with every glance we become more and more entangled
in his sensitive web.
There the figures hang slightly flying on their heads,
pretend we can do that too.
In the same
Ending red, the bodies try to save themselves from the bath.
The last link to good hangs on… the red thread,
that the devil still leaves us.
They are ciphers of the longing for death,
which we only recognize slowly, too slowly.

Even during her decades in industry and mechanical engineering, she always painted – painted to preserve her life.
Today, this power flows into her current series Sfumato – Returning to the Essence.
Finely graded layers of self-mixed pigments, light and silence dissolve the boundaries between figure and space, as before.
What was once loud and gestural now becomes quiet and poetic. Forms emerge, disappear, and become traces of an inner movement.
Her works tell of remembering, of letting go – and of returning to one’s own essence.
