About this artwork
My illustration, painted on a large linen canvas for the "7th International Linen Festival" exhibition, was inspired by Sonny Crockett, the hero of the TV series "Miami Vice," played by American actor Don Johnson. He wore linen jackets with ease in a setting of pure Art Deco style. Two wooden rods hold the canvas at the top and bottom, and it was hung in this way at the Festival and at another exhibition at the Grande Arche de La Défense in Paris.
