About this artwork
Spiritual painting of people on their way to the light. In lightbrown and white colours, you keep looking to it! I always paint in heavy colours landscapes with a lot of flowers, but sometimes I want to paint in a more abstracted and spiritual way like this painting. Including white wooden list (frame).
You can recognize the characteristic Dutch landscapes and seascapes in her artworks.
But the floral landscapes with the many small flowers in the… landscape are also very popular with buyers. An artwork by Ans does not just arise. Themes such as letting go, accepting life with sadness, mourning, joy, birth and old age are reflected in the works of art that always radiate a positive charge. When she paints her urge to create looks for a way out on the canvas. Painting is at least as important to Ans as the final result.

Before Ans picked up her paintbrush, she was a fashiondesigner and organized fashionshows at The Britannia and made 48 trips with that ship. In 1980 she founded her own modeling/casting agency, which grew into one of the best-known agencies in the Netherlands. Her expertise as castingdirector led to invitations for television programs, where she shared her insights into the world of film and commercials. In 2002 Ans sold her agency, took a long sabbatical and traveled through SouthAfrica. This trip marked the beginning of her artistic adventure. Ans' paintings are a reflection of her life experiences and emotions. For Ans, painting is not only an end result, but also a process of letting go and embracing life in all its facets.
