About this artwork
Dieses Werk ist Teil einer 3teiligen Serie romantischer Rosen und trägt den klangvollen Namen Evelyn. Der Name "Evelyn geht auf das hebräische Wort „chajjah“ zurück, was so viel bedeutet wie "lebendig". Das Bild habe ich mit Acrylfarbe auf ein kleines Holzkästchen im Format 15 x 15 cm gemalt. Inspiriert von alten, rostigen Spalieren in romantischen Gärten, an denen sich duftige Rosenwolken empor winden, habe ich den Rand des Holzkästchens mit einer…
Eisengrundierung gestrichen und diese anschließend mit einem Oxidationsmittel zum Rosten gebracht. Das Kästchen ist als Solist und stehend platziert ein dekorativer Blickfang auf Regal oder Schreibtisch, kann aber auch an der Wand aufgehängt werden und Auftakt einer kleinen aber feinen Sammlung von "Minis" sein, die sich mit der Zeit zu einem kunstvollen Indoor-Garten entwickeln können.
