About this artwork
Antoine Goddefroy, a self-taught painter with a background in furniture and lighting design, has been working in his Normandy studio since 2024, oscillating between abstraction and instinctive, emotionally charged figuration. He fuses minimalism and structured figuration, using flat planes of vibrant color, geometric volumes, and open architectural forms to evoke spaces of silence and contemplation. His serene and refined seascapes, as well as his modern architectural scenes punctuated by solitary human figures, invite the viewer to meditative and timeless moments imbued with tranquility and introspection. He has only recently put his paintings up for sale, but they are already generating a lot of interest...
His paintings were exhibited at the Art Capital 2026 International Exposition at the Grand Palais of Paris.
