The textured lunar surface is created with the use of gilded patina, which gives a luminous effect that shifts with the lighting and time of day.
The work symbolizes balance — between light and darkness, emptiness and fullness, stillness and motion.
The pairing of the two paintings evokes a sense of cosmic dialogue, as… if two celestial bodies are reflecting one another across eternity.
This diptych can be displayed as an independent piece or combined with other works from the series to create unique triptychs and compositions.
