About this artwork
This work explores the game of disrupting the color we understand as aesthetic through a dynamic composition where it is the protagonist within the female figure.
The layers of acrylic create volume, allowing the gesture to remain visible as part of the process. The piece is built from the figure, but evolves toward a controlled balance between form and energy.
The result is a visual space that invites a direct experience of color, closer to the… physical.

Ariadna Menassanch develops a painting practice centered on color as an emotional and constructive language. Influenced by her training in artistic makeup and personal image, her work translates the logic of the body and identity to the canvas, where color ceases to be decorative and becomes structure and tension.
Through layers of acrylic, intuitive gestures, and accumulated matter, her compositions explore the balance between control and spontaneity. Each work functions as a space for sensory interaction, where form emerges from the process and the viewer is invited to a direct, almost physical, experience of color.
His practice lies between gestural abstraction and figurative evocation, building his own constantly evolving language.
