Limited palette according to the time of year. Autumn, cool wind and disappearing hills over the horizon. Ukraine, Cherkasy region, village. Apple tree in the foreground. Yellowish-ocher fields, greenish foliage of trees and dark burgundy shadows. When painting the picture, I was inspired by the work of Van Dyck and Ukrainian Academic Paintings.

Artem Brazhnik is a painter from Ukraine who has exhibited nationally. He drew often as a child and after his father saw one of his, he exclaimed that he was an artist, which he has remained ever since. Brazhnik’s works mainly feature landscapes, favoring impressionism as his favorite technique for plein air painting. He prefers to create using oils on canvas.
